For Pajaro Valley Unified School District, Trustee Area 2
Occupation: Agriculture Businesswoman / Mother Age: 46
As a wife, Mother, and agriculture business owner, equal access to a great education is the best path for all our children. Supporting quality educational programs that have a proven track-record of success for our kids is essential.
Traditional, charter, and career vocational schools hold the keys to an overall community solution for the PVUSD.
Being an involved parent that has taken on many challenges, I’m proud of having been the Board Chair of PVUSD’s Pacific Coast Charter School. While there, I actively worked to bring scholarships to support our graduating seniors. We successfully received accreditation with Western Association of Schools & Colleges.
Currently serving as your Taxpayers advocate on the Cabrillo College Citizens Bond Oversight Committee, I work to ensure responsible fiscal spending. The Pajaro Valley Unified School District needs Trustees such as myself with this type of real-world business experience who will maximize and direct our tax dollars into our children’s classrooms.
New PVUSD Board leadership is needed that actively supports parents, teachers and students. Working together we have that opportunity!
Vote for Georgia Acosta so that any student that graduates from PVUSD will have 21st Century skills and knowledge necessary to find success in our local community and beyond.
