Official canvass begins Wednesday, August 31, 2005.

There are still several ballots that remain to be processed during the canvass and prepared for final certification, including:

• Absentee Ballots returned on Election Day.

• Provisional Ballots cast by voters due to some question of the voter’s eligibility to vote or a first-time federal voter without proof of identification.

• Damaged Ballots that need to be remade.

• We expect to certify Friday, September 2, 2005
