1 The period covered by any statement begins on the day after the closing date of
the last statement filed, or January 1, if no previous statement has been filed.
2 All recipient committees not filing a pre-election report must file the
Supplemental Pre-Election Report if contributions totaling $10,000 or more are made to
committees primarily formed to support or oppose the ballot measure during the
corresponding period.
3 The recipient of a late in-kind contribution must file a late contribution
report within 48 hours from the time the in-kind contribution is received.
Additional Notes:
-
County General Purpose
Recipient Committees:
County general purpose recipient committees that make independent expenditures
totaling $1,000 or more to support or oppose a single ballot measure have additional
reports to file. If the payments are made during a pre-election reporting period, the
committee must file the form 465 with the county, in addition to its regular semi-annual
report, due July 31, 2005. If the payment is made within the 24-hour reporting period
listed above, the committee must file a Form 496 with the county. In addition, if the Form
496 is required to be filed, the Form 465 must be filed with the county by January 31,
2006, in addition to the committees regular semi-annual report.
-
Except for deadlines that fall
on a Saturday, Sunday, or an official state holiday, there is no provision in the law for
extending a filing deadline. Late statements are subject to a $10 per day late fine.
-
All statements are public
documents.
-
Local jurisdictions may impose
contribution limits and additional filing requirements.
