  • There is no provision in law for an extension of the filing deadline. Late statements are subject to a $10 per day late fine.

  • Refer to appropriate campaign disclosure manuals to determine where to file campaign statements.

  • All statements are public documents.

  • New disclosure requirements are in effect for state and local candidates and committees. For more information, obtain the latest Addendum to Campaign Disclosure Manuals or visit the Fair Political Practices Commission website at www.fppc.ca.gov

1The period covered by any statement that begins on the day after the closing date of the last statement filed, or January 1, 2002, if no previous statement has been filed.

2The recipient of a late "in-kind" contribution must file a late contribution report within 48 hours from the time the in-kind contribution is received.

3New Prohibition: A controlled committee of a candidate may not make independent expenditures to support or oppose other candidates. (Gov. Code §85501)
