CASSETTE RECORDING OF

STATE VOTER INFORMATION GUIDE

A cassette-recorded version of the principal and supplemental California State Voter Information Guide for the March 7, 2000 Primary Election is now available from the Santa Cruz County Elections Department.

Visually impaired voters may obtain the tapes by calling 454-2060 or sending an e-mail request. When making your request, please indicate if you would like to borrow the tapes for 5 days, or if you’d like your own set to be mailed to you. Also, please be sure to provide your name, mailing address and phone number.

The six tapes feature information on the 20 state propositions, 1A and 12 through 31. The following information is provided for each of the measures: the official title and summary, the impartial analysis prepared by the Legislative Analyst, the arguments for and against the measures, and the rebuttals to these arguments. In addition, Tape #6 will include an overview of the state bond debt.

The tapes are playable on any commercially available tape recorder, as well as on the special Talking Book Recorders.
