Statement of CHRISTINE McGUIRE, Candidate for

County Supervisor, 2^nd District

I've been a practicing attorney and prosecutor for two decades. I'm a long-time resident of the 2nd Supervisorial District with a 15 year old daughter, and am married to Capitola Finance Director Richard Standridge. My commitment to public service includes: commissioner, County Domestic Violence Commission; Co-Chair, County Child Death Review Team; Board Member, County Bar Association and Womens Lawyers. I authored a New York Times best seller and five legal suspense novels.

As Supervisor, I'll

• hold neighborhood "town hall" meetings; evening & weekend office hours; seek night Board meetings
• use my Public Safety know-how to protect our Youth in their schools and neighborhoods
• work with you to develop and implement Aptos, Corralitos & Seacliff Village/Community Plans
• preserve & protect our natural resources and support cautious growth
• work on a transportation plan that reduces traffic congestion

I'll work as hard as your supervisor as I have as prosecutor. I'll seek out and listen to your opinions, then make thoughtful, well-reasoned decisions. I'll re-connect you to your government.
