Zach Friend
County Supervisor, 2nd District

Occupation: County Supervisor

It has been a tremendous honor to serve you and together we’ve accomplished many things - from building new parks and adding more Sheriffs deputies, to making your County government more responsive.

Over the last three years I’ve worked hard to accomplish the priorities I committed to you.

Preserving Parks and the Environment
We built the first park in Aptos in a generation and broke ground on restrooms and a concession stand at the Polo Grounds.  We strengthened farmland and environmental protections throughout our rural areas.

Enhancing Public Safety
We brought the Sheriff’s Office back to full staffing while adding Assistant District Attorneys to fight crimes against seniors.

Improving Local Roads and School Safety
We funded safety improvements around schools from Corralitos to Aptos including sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes and radar speed signs. We completed the Rio Del Mar Roundabout and Esplanade enhancements and made road, culvert and drainage improvements from Larkin Valley to La Selva Beach.

Economic Vitality
We built the County’s first mobile app allowing everything from reporting potholes to graffiti and made vast improvements to affordable housing policies to ensure our children can have a future here.

Together, we’ll continue to make our community a better place.

I’d be honored to have your vote.
