Trina Coffman-Gomez
For Watsonville City Councilmember, District 6

Occupation: broker business owner                                        Age: 53

My name is Trina Coffman-Gomez and I am the current incumbent representing the City of Watsonville District 6. I have chosen to accept the responsibilities of Council for an additional term so that I may continue with my responsibilities as our fiscal steward; to see that we continue on the right path for a sustainable and productive economic vitality, which includes to strive and attain local job creation, all while balancing the demand of our housing shortage.

My family and I have been an integral part of the City of Watsonville's make-up for three generations; having graduated from PVUSD, been employed within the agriculture industry of our Valley and been a leader of humanitarian organizations such as Rotary International.

I bring to the City of Watsonville a depth of financial knowledge, which comes from my experience as an educated business owner of a mortgage company who understands finance, job creation and the housing challenges faced in our community. I comprehend the urgency to balance our efforts by attracting long term business partners that can bring stable jobs into our community; to encourage our youth to fulfill their education and training to be a part of that employment and to find the means to keep homeownership attainable.
