Lupe Rivas
For Pajaro Valley Unified School District, Trustee Area 2

Occupation: Retired Educator                                                Age: 70

Please allow me introduce myself to you.  I am retired from Pajaro Valley Unified School District with over thirty five years of educational experience as a classroom teacher, support staff teacher, master teacher, vice-principal, principal, central office administrator and parent educator.  Hold several advance degrees:  BA from Fresno State University, MA and Administrative degree from Bakersfield State University and a doctorate in I.M.E. from USF.

Coming from a poor migrant family background, I know personally that education is vital to success. It is my desire to remain as a member of the board of trustees of PVUSD, to insure the work we have already begun in student and district achievement will continue!

I believe that students and teachers need to have the tools they need to succeed because their success is our future.  It is important that we listen and give voice to our communities, parents, teachers and students.  If elected, I promise to continue working as a united school board, listen to our community with an open and respectful mind, work toward working harmoniously with district personnel and continue to work for academic and educational equality among all areas in our district.
