Poll Worker Job Descriptions

Lead - This position pays $510 for all four days. You will be paid an additional stipend for training.

  • Complete the training class.
  • Act as person in charge of assigned Voting Service Center each day.
  • Set up the Service Center in time to be ready to open the doors at the correct time each day.
  • Return all election materials on Election Night.
  • Have reliable, private transportation.

Clerk  - As a clerk, you can work one to four days. The amount paid depend on the number and the days you work.  You will receive $410 for all four days and an additional stipend for training. If working just Election Day the pay is $110 plus training. All other days pay $100 plus training.

Clerks are required to:

  • Complete the training class.
  • Work 6:00am until about 10:00pm on Election Day.
  • Work assigned hours on Saturday, Sunday and/or Monday.
  • Check in and assist voters
  • Help set up before the polls open
  • Help close and pack up after the polls close
